Growing up my Father always told my siblings and I, “You were born in America, if you can’t succeed here, you wouldn’t be able to succeed anywhere“. In the Asian culture, we have a deep core belief in the “One Generation Concept”; any family is just one generation away from changing the destiny of their entire bloodline. And the most sure fire way to do that is through high academic excellence, personal accountability, and a persistent work ethic.
We tell our children to look forward one generation as to why they can succeed. Critical Race Theory / Cultural Responsive Teaching teaches children to look back 3 generations as to why they can’t.
The entire Diversity, Inclusion, Equity (D.I.E.) ideology produces the complete opposite of that. It is the soil that grows Critical Race Theory (CRT) that teaches:
- If a white family escaped poverty and was able to give their children a solid life, those children are now supposed to feel ashamed of their parent’s hard work.
- If a non-white family escaped poverty and was able to give their children a solid life, those children are still supposed to feel like a victim who needs a white “equity” savior.
They stopped putting chains on ankles, but instead shackle minds and hearts. Their goal is not to produce financially independent, mentally strong, and emotionally stable young people. Because a generation with those characteristics aren’t good for business.
When my parents came to this country, they had nothing except the clothes on their backs and barely spoke English. Today, I live in Carmel, IN. One Generation.
But now the D.I.E. Officer, Terri Roberts-Leonard, and the Carmel Clay School Board is introducing SEL and CRT culture into our schools that will brainwash my young daughter to believe that she is a victim and that the little white boy or girl sitting next to her is her oppressor. Starting in elementary school?
I won’t be sitting down for that. And neither should you.
“Our world is not divided by race, color, gender or religion. Our world is divided into wise people and fools. And fools divide themselves by race, color, gender, or religion.”

This is 100% accurate and I couldn’t agree more! It takes US, our children’s only reliable and best advocates to make sure they grow into successful humans. Thank you for all of your hard work!
Angie
Thank you Angie for being engaged and active in informing other parents of this!
Thank you for speaking up! I am not from Carmel, but live in Fishers. We are also fighting this.
Hi Mel – yes I’m definitely aware of how hard you’ve been hit over there. Will definitely continue to work with FishersOne (fishersone.org). You guys are doing really good work there!
Appreciate your thoughts and taking a much needed stand.
Thank you Annie for being involved and engaged in this fight for our schools.
Thank you and God Bless!
Thank you Debbie for staying involved and continuing to alert your fellow parents and friends. Everyone has to step up if we are to rid this from our schools.
